Maritime Structural Engineer Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and planning activities for large scale multi-discipline maritime facilities. Our team works with clients across various industries including defence, ports, and sustainability.

You will be involved in delivering concepts through to construction phase support, leveraging your existing experience in structural design or specific maritime experience. There will also be opportunities to grow leadership and business development skills as you assist with project management and proposal tasks.

The ideal candidate typically has between 2 and 5 years of experience with:

  • Experience in structural design including reinforced concrete and steel.
  • Interest or experience in the design, evaluation and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works and marine structures.
  • Capability and experience in using structural analysis software such as SPACE GASS, Strand 7, IDEAStatica.
  • Interest or experience working with local governments, port clients and/or the Defence sector.
  • Interest to learn maritime analysis software OPTIMOOR.
  • Familiarity with structural Australian design codes and guidelines.
  • Working towards Chartered Professional Engineer credentials.
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
