Senior Product Development Engineer

At our support office, we're seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to drive innovation and excellence in product design. This role requires a strong technical background and leadership skills to mentor colleagues and collaborate with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in product/system engineering, quality management systems, and collaboration with suppliers. They should be proficient in CAD and FEA tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting.

  • Develop and enhance existing products through innovative design and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence and market alignment.
  • Lead and mentor engineers to achieve project goals and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Manage technical documentation and quality compliance processes.
Requirements

We're looking for a skilled and experienced engineer with:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven product development experience in the automotive industry or similar environment.
  • Expertise in quality management systems and recognised processes such as APQP, PPAP, and DVP&R.
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers and stakeholders to drive innovation and quality improvements.
  • Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools, as well as data acquisition systems and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
