Library and Information Services Manager

The Australian Steel Institute is seeking a professional Library and Information Services Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide library services including subject searches, loans, and technical enquiries.
  • Respond to eLibrary requests.
  • Maintain the library database and resources, and acquire new materials.
  • Administer the organisation's content management system (CMS), including the website and back-end systems.
  • Supervise the bookshop, including stock management, eBooks, and subscriptions.
  • Support the publication of books, including editing, formatting, and proofreading.
  • Assist in the publication of industry journals.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A recognised library qualification or relevant experience.
  • Experience in a similar role, with an emphasis on technical or engineering subject matter.
  • Strong English language skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Excellent editorial skills, including reviewing, marking up, and proof checking publications.
  • Proficient in using Content Management Systems, ideally with Kentico experience.
  • Strong Microsoft 365, website, and database management skills.
  • Excellent administrative, planning, and communication skills.
  • Highly professional approach and attention to detail.
  • Excellent people and customer service skills.

This is a part-time role, four days per week, with flexibility for work from home days. The location is Melbourne, Australia.
