Library Cadet Opportunity

About the Role

This is a 12-month program designed for students or recent graduates of undergraduate or postgraduate library or information sciences courses.

The successful candidate will provide information services from online and physical service points, contribute to various projects, complete literature searches and training presentations with guidance, assist with library systems administration and development, and work as part of a leading library team in the health sector.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver information services from multiple locations across the network
  • Contribute to innovative projects that meet changing needs and technologies
  • Complete research assignments and training sessions under the supervision of experienced librarians
  • Support library systems administration and development
  • Collaborate with a high-performing library team in the health sector

Requirements

We are seeking individuals who have recently completed (within the last 2 years) an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in librarianship or information science. The ideal candidate will be passionate about library services, proficient in web and mobile technologies, possess excellent customer service skills, and a strong desire to help others.
