About the Role

Mercy Community is seeking a dedicated Family Response Facilitator to join our team. This permanent, full-time position is located in Townsville and offers a rewarding opportunity to provide quality service delivery to children, young people, families, and the community within the Family and Child Connect Service (FaCC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess information provided in a referral and engage with families with multiple and high-level needs to provide resources and support
  • Complete referrals out to appropriate services to ensure families receive the necessary support
  • Provide services to the wider Townsville region and beyond, facilitating vital connections to supports for those families in our communities

Requirements

  • Degree in Child Protection or Social Work or related discipline from a recognised institution
  • Previous experience working effectively across a range of service providers to negotiate high-quality service provision to families with complex issues
  • Intermediate ability to use computer IT systems, including MS Word and Excel, and a Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence
  • A positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and the ability to obtain any other legislatively required personal history screening as required
