About the Role

Susquehanna Pacific is seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team in Sydney. This role will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Linux and associated hardware and software to maintain and optimize our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and optimize our APAC Linux estate, ensuring continuous improvement of our tools and pipelines to scale with the company's growth.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of hardware and software configuration applicable to the trading space, including OS optimization, NICs & kernel tuning, and core isolation.
  • Work with and implement supporting tooling and systems such as Puppet, Ansible, Openstack, VMWare, Kafka, Kubernetes, and a suite of monitoring/logging/reporting tools.
  • Support and administer our storage and backup network infrastructure, including various SAN, NAS, DAS technologies.
  • Lead major projects in the region, such as rolling out new trading platforms, deploying new solutions, and automating/enhancing existing systems.

Requirements

  • A Linux engineer who prioritizes teamwork and loves collaborating as much as they love deploying great systems and understanding how things work.
  • Solid experience administering and working with Linux systems and associated tooling, with knowledge of Data Centres/Hardware/trading systems an advantage.
  • Solid and demonstrable skills with programming/scripting in Bash, Python, or other languages.
  • Automation-focused with a proven track record of designing/delivering end-to-end systems and solutions.
