About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Performance Engineer to join our infrastructure team at Qube Research & Technologies Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for optimizing our Linux-based systems to achieve low-latency trading goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and tune Linux kernels to optimize performance
  • Build and package custom Linux systems using commercial distributions as a base image
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for firmware loading, monitoring, and testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Document and maintain system configurations and testing procedures
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Linux kernel configuration and tuning
  • Experience with Red Hat 9, Debian/Ubuntu, and Bash scripting
  • Knowledge of Intel hardware and overclocking
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
