Fleet Controller Role

Visy is seeking a skilled Fleet Controller to join our team. As a key player in our logistics operations, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of drivers, ensuring daily operations run smoothly, and maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders, customers, and drivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling and allocation
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, customers, and drivers
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and customers around planning, runs, and delays
  • Conduct proactive assessments of operations to enhance efficiency
  • Manage and monitor payroll, driver performance, leave entitlements, and truck servicing
  • Load planning and optimization using analytical skills
  • Recognize opportunities to improve current processes and revenue margins through P&L accountability
  • Proactively manage sub-contractors and associated costs
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar Fleet Controller or Allocator role within the Transport and Logistics industry
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S, CoR & NHVR legislation
  • SAP, MT DATA, WMS & TMS knowledge is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset with good change management experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships internal and externally
