We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our research team at Griffith University as a PhD Research Scholar. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on innovating treatments for people with diabetes.
About the ProjectThe project aims to develop and evaluate personalized management interventions to reduce foot ulcerations in people with diabetes. This is a critical area of research, as diabetic foot ulcers are a major cause of amputations worldwide. Our team is well-equipped to provide a supportive and stimulating environment for the successful candidate to conduct their research.
Research OpportunityThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a project that combines personalized biophysical modelling, smart textile technologies, and advanced manufacturing techniques to optimize and 3D print interventions for reducing the risk of foot ulcers in people with diabetes. This project has the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of people with diabetes and their families.
About the ScholarshipThe scholarship is available for 3 years and provides a tax-free stipend, indexed annually. The successful candidate will also receive tuition fees for international students or living allowances and tuition fees for domestic students. We welcome self-funded applicants and those requiring funding will be mentored through an Australian Research Training Program (RTP) scholarship application.
RequirementsTo be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must have a strong academic background in a relevant field, such as health sciences, engineering, or computer science. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, and to contribute to the development of the research project.
