Marine Insurance Claims Specialist Job in Sydney

Are you a Superyacht professional looking to transition from the water to the shore based in Sydney? You have the opportunity to manage marine insurance claims from start to finish working closely with clients, assessors, repairers and marine stakeholders ensuring accurate and efficient handling.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing marine insurance claims. The job involves assessing marine claims, liaising with clients, surveyors and service providers, interpreting marine policies, determining coverage and coordinating repairs and negotiating quotes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess marine claims including damage theft weather liability etc.
  • Liaise with clients surveyors and service providers.
  • Interpret marine policies and determine coverage.
  • Coordinate repairs and negotiate quotes.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in marine claims or strong boating background.
  • Deep understanding of marine coverages and vessel types.
  • Strong communication problem-solving and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
