Claims Specialist Job in Sydney

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Insurance Claims Specialist to join our team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for the marine industry.

Job Description:

  • This role focuses exclusively on boat and watercraft claims, managing them from start to finish.
  • You will work closely with clients, assessors, repairers, and marine stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient handling of claims.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assessing marine claims related to damage, theft, weather, liability, etc.
  2. Liaising with clients, surveyors, and service providers to resolve claims efficiently.
  3. Interpreting marine policies and determining coverage for each claim.
  4. Coordinating repairs and negotiating quotes with service providers.
  5. Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance throughout the process.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in marine claims or strong boating background.
  • In-depth understanding of marine coverages and vessel types.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
