About the Role

As a Business Planning Analyst with American Express, you will play a key role in driving business growth and improvement across APAC markets. You will be responsible for analyzing data, developing strategic plans, and driving key results. Your expertise will be sought after by senior leaders and employees across different markets.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data from across APAC markets, as well as other international and US lines of business.
  • Prepare senior leader updates and strategic presentations.
  • Plan business reviews, staff meetings, and employee town halls.
  • Direct department-wide administrative functions, including operating expense management.
  • Work with functional leaders to align organizational priorities and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Track APAC key project portfolios and achievements by supervising activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working in an analytical role with comprehensive reporting and data analysis.
  • Strong business management and strategic planning skills.
  • Exceptional project management, organization, and planning skills applied in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all business levels.
  • Experience handling sensitive data with a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Experience working in regional and/or global structures and with colleagues located in different time zones.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze data, and produce meaningful conclusions to senior leaders.
  • Creatively problem-solve with very little direction and drive initiatives forward independently.
Technical Experience
  • Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL (advanced working knowledge).
  • Advanced skills in data visualization, experience in building reports in Power BI or Tableau.
  • Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) a plus.
