About the Role

As a Business Planning Analyst with American Express, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and delivering management information across 7 TLS APAC markets and a global Centre of Excellence (COE) operations function. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing opportunities for improved performance and practices across markets, and driving performance on key metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources, including financial, customer, and operational data, to draw conclusions and present findings to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain strategic presentations and updates for senior leaders.
  • Plan and execute business reviews, staff meetings, and employee town halls.
  • Oversee department-wide administrative functions, including operating expense management.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to align organizational priorities and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Track APAC key project portfolios and achievements by supervising activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience working in an analytical role with comprehensive reporting and data analysis.
  • Strong business management and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent project management, organization, and planning skills applied in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all business levels.
  • Experience handling sensitive data with a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Experience working in regional and/or global structures and with colleagues located in different time zones.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze data, and produce meaningful conclusions for senior leaders.
  • Creatively problem-solve with minimal direction and drive initiatives forward independently.
Technical Requirements
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) skills a plus.
