Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact for registering, storing, updating, retrieving, and issuing technical project material.
  • Communicate with the configuration management team, identify issues, and raise them with senior staff and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate product-related data and documentation to ensure accuracy in the configuration management system.
  • Monitor the change control process and assist in processing engineering changes and affected configuration documentation.
  • Prepare configuration management data deliverables to customers.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding receipt, delivery, and acknowledgement of engineering artefacts.
  • Prepare configuration management baselines and material for major project reviews and milestone activities.
  • Produce reports, master record indexes, build state declarations, and similar.
  • Identify and investigate configuration management problems and formulate strategies for resolution.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Methodical person who can confidently organise and coordinate data management.
  • Well-developed literacy in computer usage, including Microsoft Office software and large computer systems and databases.
  • Demonstrated configuration management experience in production/engineering environments or technical roles involving configuration management.
  • Experience using configuration management tools and associated databases.
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Ability to use communication skills effectively with colleagues and project stakeholders.
