About this Opportunity

CQUniversity is seeking a highly skilled Client Services Librarian to join our Student and Academic Engagement team. As a key member of the Library's digital services team, you will collaborate with Library staff and Digital Services to provide high-quality, user-centred services to our diverse community of library clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate within a service management framework to provide a high standard of client service, responding to and resolving complex client requests via digital service channels.
  • Assist clients with finding and using information resources.
  • Provide advice and support to academic and teaching staff on using library resources in teaching and assisting with the processing of eReading lists.
  • Provide advice to researchers and research teams relating to scholarly publishing, research impact, and data management.

Requirements
  • Eligible for associate or allied field membership with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
  • Relevant experience in providing advanced information services with the proven ability to use high-level problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve complex problems and improve business processes.
  • Advanced skills and experience with a wide range of electronic resources, systems, and software used in a library environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts, convey information in a non-technical manner, and consult with a diverse range of internal and external clients.
