Exercise Scientist Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Exercise Scientist to support clients achieve their health and fitness goals in a science-driven rehabilitation environment.

  • You will be responsible for conducting 1:1 and group training sessions, strength assessments, and movement analysis with clients on the training floor.
  • You will apply scientific concepts such as biomechanics, physiology, sports psychology, and motor control to support clients.
  • You will provide evidence-based advice on health, fitness, well-being, and physical performance.
  • You will develop and implement exercise prescriptions and plans for clients.
  • You will establish, assess, and reassess goals for new and long-term clients.
  • You will guide athletes or clients to achieve peak performance and recover from injury.
  • You will complete administrative duties.
  • You will deliver high-quality service.
About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Exercise/Sports Science or related discipline with at least two units completed in Physiology & Anatomy, Biomechanics/Human Movement, or Exercise Programming/Prescription.
  • Relevant placement/practicum experience in Exercise Prescription.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • National Police Check.
  • Desirable: 1-3 years relevant work experience, private practice experience, and experience in long-term client management in strength training.
