Associate Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Utilities team at WSP Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping water and wastewater systems, driving technical quality, and enhancing client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Technical Leadership: Lead the mechanical and hydraulic design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, spanning the entire project life cycle.
- Prepare Documentation and Proposals: Develop concise, high-quality technical documentation and assist in crafting compelling proposals that meet client needs.
- Drive Project Management: Manage designs across multiple projects or program work packages, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Encourage Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results and exceed expectations.
We are looking for a Senior, Associate, or Principal-level Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in water industry projects, including pump stations, pipelines, hydraulics, and/or treatment plants. If you have experience working on non-traditional water industry projects, we are also interested in hearing from you.
You will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, Chartered membership of Engineers Australia or working towards CPEng certification, and at least 12 years' experience working as a Mechanical Engineer. You will also have proven experience in engineering consultancy or design roles, with technical proficiency in water and wastewater conveyance and treatment.
