
Arts Education Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our Arts department as a Media teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Media across Year 7 to 12, with the ability to teach Digital Technologies also highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and a commitment to high-impact teaching practices. They should believe in the potential of every student to succeed, use evidence-based teaching strategies and engage in reflective practice for continuous growth.
The role requires providing differentiated and relevant learning opportunities to cater to diverse student needs. Our media facilities include a TV studio with Blackmagic Studio cameras, a green screen, studio lighting controls and recording rooms with intercoms, a switchboard for live productions, podcasting equipment and a range of DSLR cameras.
The successful applicant will join a progressive and collaborative Arts department, contributing to whole-school educational programs and supporting a culture of professional development and shared responsibility for student success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Media across Year 7 to 12
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse students
- Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Eligible teacher qualification and registration
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with work rights
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
