This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026. This role is advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. John Forrest SC seeks an outstanding Media teacher with deep understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and a commitment to high-impact teaching practices. The successful applicant will teach Media across Year 7 to 12, with the ability to teach Digital Technologies also highly desirable.

They should believe in the potential of every student to succeed, use evidence-based teaching strategies and engage in reflective practice for continuous growth. The role requires providing differentiated and relevant learning opportunities to cater to diverse student needs. Our media facilities include a TV studio with Blackmagic Studio cameras, a green screen, studio lighting controls and recording rooms with intercoms, a switchboard for live productions, podcasting equipment and a range of DSLR cameras.
