
Maintenance Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team in Geelong on a casual basis.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance planning services of Refinery equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with agreed HSSE practices and procedure as outlined in the Management System
- Planning work orders based on priority and end date
- Establishing with the OMC if the repair work required is like for like replacement, or if engineering changes/MOC are required
- Visiting the work area for planning purposes - determining total scope of work, identifying all resources/disciplines, equipment and materials and the order of JDE operations to complete work
- Confirming QC/QA requirements of repairs with inspection e.g. piping class/ITP and identifying correct materials for repair work; consulting with asset engineer and/or reliability engineer if material selection is unclear
- Confirming failure mode and discussing repair scope with asset and/or reliability engineer
- Ordering material and services for work orders based on above by entering either a reservation of requisition onto components tab of work order - communicating with buyers where required and confirming delivery dates are obtainable
- Monitoring procurement requests
- Creating, updating and maintaining library plans against functional locations that require regular maintenance
- Communicating work scope to external resources and obtaining time and material estimates from external resources
- Entering operation for every resource required to complete work; relationships between all operations, and float/lag where applicable; constraints where known e.g. start date of operation; shop papers and Generating work packs; estimated cost of work order manually before setting to status ready for scheduling; updating work order when/where emergent work is discovered (communication/procedure needs to be adopted)
- Reviewing planning KPI's, actual hours against planned hours and actual costs against estimated costs
- Able to adapt to an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise, plan, organise and complete work within established deadlines
- Strong communication skills - both written & oral presentation skills
