
Expert Educational Mental Health Advisor

The School Psychologist role at a Western Australian school involves providing direct student support and contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of whole-school wellbeing programs. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with staff to promote a positive school culture, resilience, and mental health initiatives across all year levels.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including students, parents, and staff members.
- Develop and implement tailored strategies to support high-performing students in managing academic pressure and maintaining their wellbeing.
- Contribute to the case management team, planning, and intervention strategies that support student wellbeing and engagement.
- Collaborate with the Student Services team to identify and respond to emerging needs within the school community.
- Hold or be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.

- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills to identify issues, assess risks, and develop intervention strategies.
