Job Overview

The role of a Wellbeing Coordinator is to design and implement initiatives that promote staff wellbeing in the Defence and Veterans' Service Commission. This includes leading end-to-end recruitment activities, providing high-quality advice on HR policy, and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy wellbeing strategies, policies, and programs to enhance psychological safety in the workplace
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including sourcing, selecting, and hiring top talent
  • Provide expert advice on HR-related matters to managers and executives
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver wellbeing programs and services
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on workplace data to support informed decision making
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in HR within a Commonwealth entity, a strong understanding of workplace wellbeing principles, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. They must be able to influence and build trust with internal and external stakeholders.

  • At least 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a similar role
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing wellbeing or organisational health programs
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and translate data, produce clear reports, and engaging resources
  • Highly developed written and verbal communications skills
