Job Title: Healthcare Provider

Licensed Practical Nurses provide medical care to children, youth, adults and seniors in their homes and other settings.

  • Diabetes management
  • Dialysis
  • Medication management
  • Palliative care
  • Phlebotomy
  • Wound care including negative pressure wound therapy and complex wounds
Requirements
  1. Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice
  2. Experience in community health is an asset
  3. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  4. A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
  5. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment with physical activity including lifting carrying using proper techniques bending reaching kneeling and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics Individuals in the role are required to walk sit stand and climb stairs throughout the day with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
