Cultural Heritage Preservation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to support the protection of Aboriginal cultural heritage values across Western Victoria.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the preservation and conservation of cultural heritage sites on Parks Victoria-managed land in the West Region.
- Working collaboratively with Traditional Owners to develop and implement policies and procedures for protecting cultural heritage, aligning with Managing Country Together principles and legislative requirements.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance obligations and conservation outcomes for cultural heritage are met.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A working knowledge of Aboriginal cultural heritage legislation and governance in Victoria.
- Experience working effectively with Traditional Owners and indigenous communities.
- Ability to provide technical advice and support, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
