Safety Trainer for Underground Operations

**Job Overview**

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual with strong commitment to upholding safety standards to join our team as a Safety Trainer for Underground Operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

  • Liaising with supervisors and trainees to plan and coordinate training and assessment activities, ensuring conformance with site requirements;
  • Development of retraining plans for individuals who do not achieve the required results during assessment activities;
  • Facilitating various training sessions, including inductions, on-the-job-training and assessments;
  • Ensuring assessment activities comply with principles and rules of assessment;
  • Assessing effectiveness of training (e.g. after incidents and accidents, performance improvement);
  • Maintaining and documenting training records accurately in INX InTuition;
  • Ensuring all formal documents involved in training and assessment are current and completed correctly;
  • Ensuring that appropriate induction training is completed;
  • Ensuring all workers are competent based on appropriate education, training, skills and experience;

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • Current unrestricted WA Class "C" Driver's License;
  • National Police Clearance (12-month validity);
  • Experience in the gold mining industry (ideally UG and/or training desirable);
  • Sound understanding of mining operations and safety regulations in Western Australia;
  • Demonstrated capability to manage projects, meet deadlines and operate independently;
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite;
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills;
