Lead Financial Analyst - Mergers and Acquisitions

We are seeking an experienced Lead Financial Analyst to join our Transaction Diligence team in Brisbane.

This is a challenging role that involves working with clients on complex deals and transactions, identifying key drivers of value and advising on hidden value.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Participating in due diligence engagements related to the acquisition or disposal of businesses by private equity investors or strategic corporate buyers.
  • Analyzing financial/operational results of targets through reviewing accounting records, conducting interviews with management, and preparing/evaluating pro forma financial information.
  • Identifying and analyzing key value drivers to deliver financial and commercial insights, which directly impact deal value and structuring.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines on multi-faceted projects in cross-border environments.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, business, finance, or economics.
  • Demonstrate strong Excel skills and a high level of proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Show a strong work ethic and adaptability to new challenges and ideas in a collaborative team environment.
  • Be highly analytical, enjoying the challenge of solving deal value questions within short timelines.
