Employment Counsel Role

Job Overview

This role involves advising on employment issues, including hiring, performance management, terminations, compensation, investigations, and employee relations. You will partner with the People team and business leaders to support compliant, scalable employee lifecycle practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on full range of employment issues
  • Partner with People team and business leaders
  • Conduct internal workplace investigations
  • Collaborate on and lead employment-related litigation and pre-litigation matters
  • Develop and scale employment processes through policies, training, templates, and tooling
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments across jurisdictions
  • Support cross-border employment issues
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5–11 years of experience practicing employment law
  • Qualified and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
  • Strong understanding of global employment laws
  • Proven ability to lead or advise on sensitive employee relations matters and investigations
  • Skilled at working independently and navigating ambiguity in a high-growth business
  • Excellent communicator with strong judgment, discretion, and a collaborative approach
  • Fluent in English; additional languages such as Chinese are a plus
