Regional Property Asset Officer

The Regional Property Asset Officer is responsible for managing a diverse property portfolio. This role involves coordinating and delivering the management of built assets across various locations.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive reports on portfolio property assets to support investment planning, property maintenance, and upgrade planning as well as maintaining an extensive baseline property data system.
• Undertaking building assessments and preparing reports on property management solutions for complex cases such as Strategic Asset Management nominations and improvements for high needs customers.
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, building codes, regulations, and departmental policies including fire safety.
• Conducting initial data recording for all additions to the portfolio and identifying and advising the Regional Director of improvements to property management systems and processes including the data capture process.
• Attending technical joint inspections with Asset Services Qld or its contractors in the case of complex or contentious issues.
• Completing the Property Condition Audit Process inspections on new construction purchasing existing stock previously never inspected indigenous community housing organisation properties and provide briefs and scope of work.
• Monitoring performance of maintenance and upgrade service delivery arrangements including compliance with data collection processes and conduct risk analysis.
• Providing property advice and support to the Housing Service Centres on property assets and portfolio management issues including investment suitability functionality and practicality consistent with departmental polices.
• Maintaining knowledge and skills in current property management practice and departmental policies and procedures.
• Representing the Department's portfolio programs and decisions at local forums as well as establishing and maintaining positive and effective relationships with community representatives stakeholders and non-government organisations on property asset management related matters to ensure best practice property management principles are developed and implemented.
• Keeping the Regional Director informed of the status of the region's property management performance and advising on strategies to achieve the region's Key Performance Indicators.
• Leading and ensuring you establish and maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders including community representatives stakeholders and non-government organisations.
