About the Role:This position is ideal for a candidate with experience in the construction industry who is looking to leverage their skills in site supervision and operational efficiency within a waste management organisation.
The successful applicant will oversee daily operations ensuring efficient and compliant landfill activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate daily landfill operations, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage the performance of landfill equipment and staff to maximise efficiency.
- Oversee waste disposal and recycling processes, maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and success.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the landfill operations team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Lead and conduct toolbox meetings and daily huddles.
- Prior experience in a similar role in the Construction or Waste industry is desirable.
- Proven track record of managing projects and supervising teams.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, site management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
