Job Title: Waste Management SupervisorJob Description:The City of Parramatta is seeking a skilled waste management supervisor to lead the team responsible for delivering waste services. This position requires an experienced professional who can oversee the delivery of garbage, recycling, and garden waste programs.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate Council's waste programs
  • Develop and implement waste minimization strategies
  • Research and implement new waste management techniques
  • Manage staff in the waste management team
  • Support the roll out of Council's new waste services
  • Manage illegal dumping
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field
  • Current Driver's License
  • Extensive experience in waste contract management and system development
  • Strong knowledge of waste legislation with at least 5 years full-time equivalent waste experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of waste management strategies and initiatives
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Tender development and assessment experience
  • Experience working in Local Government
