OSHC Educator Job Description

We are seeking an Empathetic Educator to join our team and play a vital role in empowering young children. This is a casual position with working hours varying from Monday to Friday, on a rostered basis between 7:00am - 9:00am and 2:30pm - 6:00pm (split shift allowance if worked both). School Holidays shifts vary across 6:30am - 6:30pm.

The hourly rate for this position is $39.575 per hour + 12% super.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To enhance positive relationships with children, families and the school community while facilitating Before and After School Care sessions and School Holiday programs.
  • Supporting young children's development through engaging experiences and activities.
  • Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment that encourages learning and growth.
Requirements:
  • Either completed or be working towards an ACECQA-approved Diploma qualification.
  • A First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent).
  • A valid Victorian Working with Children's Check – employee check.

There are various qualifications approved by ACECQA to work within OSHC, ranging from education to community services to healthcare. Please research further to confirm your qualifications.
