About the Role

Ability Action Australia is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our North Metro team. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work across the lifespan, all disabilities, and cultures to advocate and support individuals to achieve their goals.

You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team, with exceptional leaders who will ensure your success in this role. Our team is passionate about delivering outstanding service to our clients and is committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, develop, and deliver evidence-based support plans
  • Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework
  • Build the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants in their lives
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Requirements
  • Completed a degree-level qualification as an allied health professional (OT/Speech/Social Work)
  • Experience creating, implementing, and reviewing behaviour support plans
  • Core, Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist status as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
