This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to the delivery of top-notch procurement services. As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in advising and supporting stakeholders across various sectors.
About The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on procurement processes, including planning, tendering, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement Advice: Develop and implement effective procurement plans, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, business partners, and external entities to achieve service delivery outcomes.
- Policy Development and Training: Manage the development and continuous improvement of procurement policies and procedures, as well as provide training to staff.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Strong Procurement Expertise: Demonstrated experience in applying the Commonwealth Government procurement framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and connected policies.
- End-to-End Procurement Experience: Proven ability to undertake end-to-end procurement, including reviewing and providing constructive advice on procurement plans, contracts, and evaluation reports.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, allocate work, and ensure critical deadlines are met.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing a team to achieve results.
