We are seeking a seasoned Business Systems Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This hybrid position combines Business Analysis with application support and management. The ideal candidate will ensure that business applications meet user needs, function efficiently, and align with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into application requirements. Assess business requirements against current application capabilities.
  • Application Management & Support: Ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of business applications including system upgrades, patches, and enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with IT team members.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify inefficiencies in business processes and propose application-based solutions. Work on workflow automation using application features or integrations.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure application changes meet business requirements. Manage escalation of application and data issues to appropriate resources or vendors.
  • Training & User Support: Train end users on new application features or changes. Create user manuals, FAQs, and support documentation. Act as the point of contact for application-related queries.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in implementing and managing business systems either as an external software supplier or internal IT specialist.
  • A strong understanding of programming, database administration, or reporting and analytics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and operational experience of customer-facing technologies, integration middleware, and retail systems.
