Treaty Program Leader

The Taungurung Treaty Project Lead will oversee the execution of the project plan, encompassing tasks such as forming the Taungurung Treaty Delegation, engaging legal counsel and developing a legal strategy, and providing programmatic support to the Taungurung Treaty Delegation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Treaty progression within the Treaty Readiness project
- Lead the development of the Treaty Delegation
- Engage legal counsel and support the development of a legal strategy
- Establish governance processes and refine the TLaWC decision-making guide in the context of the Treaty
Supporting the Taungurung Community on Treaty Matters:
- Act as a single point of contact for Treaty matters and agreement-making processes
- Collect, share, and provide information on Treaty-related matters
- Support the Taungurung representative on the Assembly to undertake their duties as an Assembly representative
