Job Description:

The Taungurung Treaty Project Lead will oversee the execution of the project plan, encompassing tasks such as forming the Taungurung Treaty Delegation, engaging legal counsel and developing a legal strategy, and providing programmatic support to the Taungurung Treaty Delegation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Treaty progression within the Treaty Readiness project
  • Lead the development of the Treaty Delegation
  • Engage legal counsel and support the development of a legal strategy
  • Establish governance processes and refine the TLaWC decision-making guide in the context of the Treaty

Supporting the Taungurung Community on Treaty Matters:

  • Act as a single point of contact for Treaty matters and agreement-making processes
  • Collect, share, and provide information on Treaty-related matters
  • Support the Taungurung representative on the Assembly to undertake their duties as an Assembly representative
