
Senior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner

**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Family Violence Practitioner. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing crisis intervention, risk and needs assessments, and safety planning for victim-survivors of family violence.
The role involves actively participating in triage and allocation meetings to prioritise and coordinate responses to family violence incidents. It requires responding to crises and providing case management support for adult and child victim-survivors, including those with complex needs.
The position includes managing a caseload, supporting colleagues through co-case management, and ensuring the use of appropriate case management frameworks. Strong collaboration with NT Police Services, the Department of Children and Families, and other community stakeholders is essential.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide crisis intervention, risk and needs assessments, and safety planning for victim-survivors of family violence.
- Facilitate warm referrals, assist police engagement, and promote understanding of gender, power, and control dynamics.
- Identify the person most in need of protection, hold perpetrators accountable, and strengthen collaboration across police and specialist services.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or related fields.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in community services- preferably family violence.
- Minimum 3 years experience within Family Violence, in client facing positions.
- Knowledge of the issues in the lives of women and children who are experiencing or recovering from family violence.
