- Award: SCHADS Award Level 6
- Salary: $55.72 to $58.19 an hour + Super
- Benefits: Salary packaging up to $18,550

About The Team
The Gendered Violence and Family Programs Team provided a vital role in supporting cis, non-binary and gender diverse women and their families impacted by domestic and family violence. Joining our Gendered Violence and Family Programs Team means becoming part of a passionate group committed to trauma-informed, client-centred care and meaningful social change.
About The Role
We are seeking a talented Specialist Counsellor to provide one-on-one and group-based counselling supporting cis, non-binary and gender diverse women domestic and family violence, focused on improving safety and wellbeing.
In This Role You Will
- Deliver one-on-one and group counselling using evidence-based, strengths-focused approaches
- Provide specialist support and guidance to the Gendered Violence and Family Programs team
- Assist with reporting, data collection, and compliance with funding and organisational requirements
- Build collaborative relationships with external agencies to strengthen service delivery
- Model YWCA values through safe, inclusive practices and continuous improvement
- Participation in the after-hours on-call roster.
About You
The ideal applicant will have:
- Strong knowledge and practical application of counselling theories and approaches
- Experience supporting individuals and their families impacted by domestic and family violence
- Empathetic communicator with the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships
- Skilled in building trust-based relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Passionate about intersectional feminism, women's rights, and driving social change
