Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our technology controls testing program across the organisation.

  • Assessing and reporting on the effectiveness of information technology and security controls against internal and external requirements.
  • Being accountable for the accuracy, quality and currency of all material that is used for controls assurance activities.
  • Having knowledge of prudential standards and how they relate to the activities that the team are undertaking.
  • Identifying threats and vulnerabilities related to the Banks information assets to quantify risks to the Bank.
  • Collaborating with other teams within Technology & Transformation and outside as necessary to provide a community and understanding of controls and how to achieve them.
  • Contribute to the team achieving KPI, support and project delivery goals.

You will be responsible for staying up to date on current threats, trends and technologies by attending training, conferences and digesting podcasts, blogs and other sources of intelligence and information.

Responsibilities also include being aware of cyber security principles and organisational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, nonrepudiation, and risk management).

Requirements:
  • Cyber security knowledge and skills.
  • Knowledge of general IT control principles and methods, including architecture concepts and their practical deployment.
  • Relevant laws, policies, procedures, or governance related to Financial Services.
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Excellent planning, communication and problem solving skills.
