Cyber Security Coordinator Job Overview

HB Group is collaborating with a large Government organization in Toowoomba to seek an experienced Cyber Security Coordinator. This role involves overseeing and delivering the organization's security plan and roadmap.

The Cyber Security Coordinator will engage with key stakeholders to support business objectives and assist in fostering a cyber security culture by taking actions relating to threat management, audit requirements, business continuity, and cyber security awareness campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and deliver the organization's cyber security strategy, policy, and standards.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end design and development of cyber security solutions.
  • Ensure business compliance in line with internal cyber security framework and standards.
  • Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of cyber security initiatives and strategies.
  • Create, maintain, and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage protective threat hunting activities and analyze and respond to current and emerging threats.

To succeed in this role, applicants should possess a Tertiary degree in Information Security and a minimum of three years' relevant experience, as well as current ITIL certification and demonstrated experience in Cyber Security operations or leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A Tertiary degree in Information Security is required for this role. Additionally, applicants should have at least three years of relevant experience and be certified in ITIL. Experience in Cyber Security operations or leadership is also highly desirable.
