Position Overview:

We are seeking an Afternoon Shift Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our logistics team. This role involves reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager and is essential for ensuring efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage shift operations, including troubleshooting and communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards by promoting a 'right first time' approach.
  • Facilitate timely and complete service delivery in alignment with customer requirements.
  • Maintain open communication with other shifts, site leadership, and trade partners regarding potential impacts on overall site performance.
  • Encourage team behaviors that align with achieving KPIs and company objectives, including safety protocols and incident reporting.
  • Oversee staffing needs, including the management of casual labor as required.
  • Ensure accurate reporting systems and records are maintained and completed by the end of each shift.
  • Manage environmental programs effectively, including staff training and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Candidate Profile:

  • Tertiary qualification in Frontline Management (Diploma or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in FMCG Distribution.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with SAP.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to organize and manage workflow effectively.
  • Ability to set clear expectations and lead by example, ensuring commitment to excellence and team engagement.
  • Demonstrated capacity for open and honest communication, sharing knowledge and information.
  • Motivated to take personal responsibility for team performance and outcomes.
