This manufacturing firm has achieved remarkable success by emphasizing cost reduction through enhanced processes and improving plant reliability. To further advance in these areas and maintain their impressive performance, they are seeking a Maintenance Lead to enhance their operations.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Site Manager, your key responsibilities will encompass;

  • Formulating and executing the maintenance strategy for the facility.
  • Leading and nurturing the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to KPIs related to overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), machine reliability, operational uptime, downtime, and occupational health and safety (OH&S).
  • Enhancing the maintenance team's skills in fault diagnosis, root cause analysis (RCA), and other methodologies to foster a proactive maintenance culture.
  • Managing the life cycle of site assets, addressing obsolescence, and overseeing capital improvements.
  • Conducting thorough machine assessments to accurately identify and anticipate potential machine issues.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A trade qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines, or a related field, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing maintenance strategies that promote a proactive and preventive maintenance culture.
  • Formal training in root cause analysis techniques and continuous improvement methodologies, including 5S, Lean, and/or Six Sigma.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
