
Medical Claims Specialist

Your new role involves assessing and processing health insurance claims with accuracy and efficiency. You'll ensure timely, consistent service delivery in line with published rules, agreed service standards, and benefit levels. This position requires full-time work at our head office for training and may lead to flexible work-from-home arrangements.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:
- Meet individual and team service standards for all claims requirements
- Assess transactions accurately with high quality
- Exceed customer expectations by providing excellent customer service via phone, web, and letters
- Ensure personal and team compliance with internal policies, procedures, and codes, as well as external laws, regulations, standards, and industry codes
- Actively participate as a team player to strive towards overall performance of the claims team
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Proven track record of achieving set targets with consistent results
- Ability to make decisions based on business policies and customer needs
- Well-developed PC and keyboard skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data with high numeracy confidence
- Ability to contribute as a member of a high-performing team
- Ability to work productively and autonomously in a high-pressure environment
