Expert Financial Claims Specialist

As a Financial Lines Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing professional indemnity claims involving financial planners. Your key objective will be to assess the nature and extent of a claim and negotiate the settlement of the claim in a seamless end-to-end experience for customers.
You will be part of a high-performing team that values integrity and supports each other to meet and exceed customer expectations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an empathetic nature, and the ability to communicate concisely and tailor messaging to their intended audience. You should also have experience with interpretation and application of Professional Indemnity policies and regulatory processes involving Australian Financial Services Licensing.
We are looking for a problem solver with a curious persona who can search for the root cause/s and proactively find solutions throughout the claim journey. The successful candidate will also have a growth mindset that values continuous learning and absorbs new information and change with ease.

- Loss adjusting – property, major and complex loss, catastrophe response
- Third party administration (Lloyd's accredited provider)
- Forensic accounting including business interruption expertise
- Cyber response
- Managed repair services (Contractor Connection)
- Quantity surveying, forensic engineering & building consultancy (CRD Building Consultants)
Key Requirements:
- Minimum two years' experience in financial lines claims handling involving financial planners
- Experience with claims management systems
- Certificate IV in Financial Services (General Insurance Tier 1)
- Ability to operate autonomously and work to deadlines
