New Hope Group is a diversified energy company based in South East Queensland, with business interests and operations spanning coal mining, exploration, port operations, oil, agriculture, and innovating technologies.

The Health & Wellbeing Officer will provide a wide range of Health & Wellbeing support services to the Corporate Safety & Wellbeing Team. This role will suit a recent Safety & Health Graduate or an Administrator looking to develop their Safety & Health Skills.

This position requires site visits to our operations, predominantly in Queensland. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to provide administrative assistance for day-to-day functions, including invoicing, cyclical processes, projects, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Safety & Wellbeing Team

• Assist with training and awareness processes, including scheduling and data entry

• Prepare general communications and maintain the Safety and Wellbeing inbox

• Schedule corporate training and coordinate end-of-month reporting

• Create and assist with E-Learning platform content and compliance checks

• Coordinate meetings, functions, and activities, including minute-taking and management

Requirements:

• Recent Safety & Health Graduate or equivalent professional experience

• Interest in working in mining or heavy industry

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally

• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
