Job Title: Regional Advisor

About the Role:

The Regional Advisor is a key role within our organization, responsible for providing technical advice and support to managers, staff, and volunteers in the areas of health and wellbeing, health and safety, and injury/illness management.

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and managing risks to health and safety, preventing injuries and dangerous situations through proactive strategies and initiatives, and supporting those who are ill or injured.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice and support to managers, staff, and volunteers on health and wellbeing, health and safety, and injury/illness management
  • Identify and manage risks to health and safety
  • Prevent injuries and dangerous situations through proactive strategies and initiatives
  • Support those who are ill or injured
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct risk assessments, inspections, investigations, and audits
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines related to health and safety and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) qualification or equivalent experience
  • Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience and/or qualifications in work, health, and safety investigations
