Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support people with disabilities in their daily lives.

This role involves providing assistance to clients as outlined in their NDIS plans, and ensuring they receive the best possible care.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess a strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Transportation assistance for clients.
  • Respite care for clients and their families.
  • Accurate record-keeping of client care plans and progress.
  • Effective communication with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to safeguard client well-being.
  • Ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements
  • A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support, or willingness to pursue completion (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Capacity to work with diverse clients, considering their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
