Nursing Caregiver Position

This is a casual position that requires providing evidence-based nursing care for residents in accordance with their care plan and in cooperation with the resident and other members of the care team.

  • You will be responsible for supervising and directing Registered Nurse Graduates, Enrolled Nurses, Student Nurses, and Personal Care Workers.
  • Liaising closely with clinical staff, residents, families, allied health professionals, GP's and relevant external organisations to deliver high-quality medical care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leading a team of care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered to residents.
  • Managing staff performance, including conducting regular performance reviews and providing support for ongoing development.
  • Providing high-quality medical care, including assessing residents' health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments.
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans based on residents' specific needs and conditions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing with current unrestricted registration.
  • Current valid First Aid and CPR Certificates.
  • Maintain up-to-date professional practice in line with legal requirements and the Nurses Code of Conduct.
  • Valid and current Police Certificate.
  • COVID-19 vaccinations x 2 and current flu vaccination highly recommended.
  • Experience in Aged Care and willingness to undertake on-going mandatory training.
