Senior Microsoft Azure Data Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Azure Data Specialist to lead the design, development, and implementation of data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. This is a key role in our organization, requiring expertise in cloud-based data architectures, data modeling, and warehousing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable, software-as-a-service (SaaS) customer-facing portals to support unified data models and taxonomies.
  • Define data architecture and technical requirements for continued development of dimensional models in the Azure environment.
  • Enable all collected or sourced data to be integrated and available within a centralized platform.
  • Support ingestion and synchronization of data across information systems.
  • Leverage Dynamics 365 to centralize and manage stakeholders, provide data lineage, and offer multi-views of initiatives.
  • Ensure data is discoverable, accessible, and asset owners are clearly identifiable to promote effective sharing and reuse of data available and maximize its value.
  • Develop dynamic data visualizations using PowerBI with analytical capabilities to extrapolate meaningful insights.
  • Development of governance, quality, performance, security, and compliance documentation in line with Australian Government legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive effective collaboration across teams and explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Storage.
  • Experience with data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency in developing scalable, cloud-based data solutions using Azure services.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
