Electrical Field Service Technician

This role involves providing technical expertise, maintenance and customer support for advanced detection equipment used in a high-security airport environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex X-ray and trace detection equipment
  • Perform regular maintenance to prevent equipment faults and ensure optimal performance
  • Install and commission new equipment to meet operational requirements
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic issues and implement solutions
  • Prepare detailed reports and contribute to process improvements to enhance service delivery
  • Provide guidance and support to junior technicians and promote a culture of safety and excellence
About You:
  • Certificate III Trade Qualification or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or IT
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in field service or maintenance with a strong background in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with ability to obtain required clearances
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence
