About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you'll be working across the Adelaide metro area, travelling to customer sites to diagnose and repair machines. You'll be based mostly in the field (around 60%) and spend the rest of your time in the workshop. The work is varied and hands-on — from preventative servicing and breakdown repairs to part replacements and machine testing.

You'll have the support of a Melbourne-based Team Leader, but this role is largely independent — you'll manage your own jobs, solve problems on the fly, and take ownership of your schedule. You'll also be responsible for keeping your service van stocked, your job notes tidy, and your customers informed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine servicing, repairs, and breakdown diagnostics across a range of machinery.
  • Visit customer sites across Adelaide to provide fast, reliable, and high-quality service.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and keep them updated throughout each job.
  • Keep your service vehicle stocked and parts organised.
  • Submit accurate service reports, including time spent and parts used.
  • Support the Adelaide workshop team with repairs and stock when needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
You're a qualified technician (mechanical) who also has electrical knowledge who enjoys variety, ownership, and the satisfaction of diagnosing and fixing things properly the first time. You have strong customer service skills, and you're confident working independently in the field.

You might come from a background in mobile field servicing, heavy equipment, auto electrical work, or machinery repair. What sets you apart is your technical expertise, professionalism, and a natural drive to do the job well — safely, efficiently, and with pride.

What We're Looking For
  • Are qualified in mechanical or auto electrical trades.
  • Have solid hands-on experience fixing machines, vehicles, or equipment — especially in the field, not just in a workshop. This is a must-have
  • Experience in a similar industry is highly regarded.
  • A current driver's licence and a safe, clean driving record.
  • Can troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical faults with confidence.
  • Are organised, communicative, and customer-focused.
  • Like working independently but still being part of a wider team.
  • Want stability, ongoing training, and long-term career prospects.
  • Takes pride in their work and brings a strong, can-do attitude to every job.
